Before Your Appointment
-
1. Hair Length
For best results, hair should be at least ¼ inch long, about the length of a grain of rice. Too short and the wax can’t grip; too long can make waxing less comfortable.
If you’re unsure, just ask, we’re happy to check at your appointment. -
2. Exfoliate (Gently!)
Light exfoliation 24 hours before your appointment helps remove dead skin and frees trapped hairs.
Use a gentle scrub, glove, or chemical exfoliant, nothing harsh. Avoid exfoliating the day of your wax to prevent irritation. -
3. Keep Skin Clean & Product-Free
On the day of your appointment: No lotions, No oils, No deodorant (for underarm waxing), No makeup (for facial waxing)
Clean, dry skin = better results.
-
4. Avoid Heat & Exercise
Before your appointment, avoid: Hot showers, Saunas, Workouts, Tanning
Heat increases sensitivity and can make waxing more uncomfortable.
-
5. Pain Sensitivity Tips
If you’re worried about discomfort: Avoid caffeine beforehand, Take an ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment
